Deposit For Beef

$250 nonrefundable deposit for whole or half beef (will be credited toward your purchase)

Our beef is grass fed on our farm in Cut Bank, Montana, and finished with the barley we grow! (Want all grassfed? Just let us know!)

Beef will be ready starting July 2025. Can pick up in Valier or Kalispell.

Whole beef: $5.00/lb hanging weight

Half beef: $5.20/lb hanging weight

Prices are based on hanging weight, which is a weight the butcher gives us before it is cut; the hanging weight is usually about 60% of the live weight. Typically the average hanging weight estimate is around 650 lbs (this is an estimate and may vary), so for example a whole beef (cut and wrapped) would be $5 x 650 lbs = $3250, a half beef $5.20 x 325 lbs = $1690

The take home weight (after it has been cut and wrapped) is typically 65-70% of the hanging weight, so at 65% you could expect to take home: Whole 422 lbs, Half 211 lbs, making your estimated "retail" price $7.70-$8 per lb. A great price for local beef! Multiple families often purchase a whole beef and split it up.

A typical cut would include steaks, roasts, ground beef, and other cuts, packaged and frozen. If you love hamburger, I highly recommend our premium steak burger! This is where your entire half or whole beef is ground into hamburger, making it super beefy and delicious. With all the cuts included in the grind, it's the best burger you will ever taste!
